RECRAFTING - Birkenstock footbed replacement

RECRAFTING is replacing everything except the straps and buckles. It conserves resources and saves you money.

Footbeds need replacing when the cork is damaged beyond repair. Following are indications for needing a new footbed.

• A crack in the cork across the footbed (usually occurs at the front straps).

• The sole is flapping from the footbed (seperated horizontally), usually in the front of the sandal.

• The footbed liner is cracked and that crack goes into the footbed (usually occurs under the ball of the foot; the sole may be worn through or near through).

• Heels are worn through the rubber and cork ) (and sometimes through the liner, too).

• Cork is generally deteriorated (soft and crumbly - at the ball or heel) needing repair all around.

Please be aware that your new Birkenstock footbeds will soften and conform to your feet, as they did after you first purchased your sandals. In other words they may need a brief "break-in" period.

Footbed size is duplicated unless otherwise specified by the customer. We can go up or down one size or width, upon request.
